Examinations – Enjoyment through achievement
If you’re working hard to make progress with your singing, you need a way to recognise your success and reassurance that you’re on the right track. Earning an ABRSM certificate is a rewarding experience, and the grade examinations are useful stepping-stones for progress
ABRSM is the UK’s largest music education body, one of its largest music publishers and the world’s leading provider of music exams, holding over 650,000 assessments in more than 90 countries every year. Founded in 1889, it has a long history. But it’s mission has always stayed the same: to nurture a love for music, and to inspire achievement in it
I encourage pupils who are keen to pursue a measured and thorough graduated course of study to enter for these examinations regularly.
Theory lessons can be arranged for those pupils aiming for above grade 5.
Quite often GSCE music entrants will choose singing as a part of their practical examination assessment.
I can encourage suitable choice of material and oversee the learning and practice of this up to the time of the examination.
I am able to arrange for competent accompanists for either of these eventualities.
